castillo/corrales is a co-operatively run, non-profit contemporary art venue that includes an exhibition space, a bookstore and a publishing house. Established since 2007 in Paris – Belleville, it is managed by a group of artists, curators, writers and graphic designers. castillo/corrales was conceived as a new type of art institution, one that provides artists, professionals and audience with an intimate and informal environment conducive to experimentation, discussion and learning.

& RAPHAËL ZARKA’S ON A DAY WITH NO WAVES.
A CHRONICLE OF SKATEBOARDING 1779-2009

As a new step in an already long-term collaboration between Section 7 Books and B42 publishers, we’re happy to invite you to celebrate the launch of the 4th issue of Back Cover, a French and English speaking magazine dedicated to graphic design and typography. This new issue gathers contributions by great writers and compelling practitioners such as Metahaven, Wim Crouwel, Jost Hochuli, Roland Früh or Catherine de Smet.
This afternoon seems also to be an opportune moment to launch Raphaël Zarka’s On a day with no waves. A Chronicle of skateboarding 1779-2009, a must-read translated from the French by Chris Sharp. A limited edition of 50 copies of the book will be presented.Please join us for a drink from 5 PM.
